Sleep and Epilepsy

Abstract: ÖzetÇoğu epilepsi sendromunun klinik ve EEG bulgularının uyku ile ilişkisi çok iyi bilinmektedir. Epilepsilerin uyku ile ilişkili olduğu bilinen nöronal yolakların hastalığı olduğu düşünülmektedir. Diğer bir yönden de epilepsili hastalarda sağlıklı kontrollere göre daha fazla oranda uyku bozuklukları bildirilmiştir. Dahası yetersiz uyku kalitesi nöbet kontrolünü bozmakta ve bir kısır döngü oluşmaktadır. Ayrıca antiepileptik ilaçların da uyku yapısı üzerine etkisi mevcuttur.
