Abstract:The distinction of slow-flow dural carotid-cavernous sinus fistula from high flow lesions is important both from a prognostic and management point of view, particularly in the elderly. We report the case of a patient in which colour flow duplex imaging of the orbit provided an effective and non-invasive method of monitoring the vascular abnormality prior to spontaneous resolution of the fistula.
