Small antenna design for very compact devices and wearables

Abstract: In this study the authors present a possible solution for a compact printed folded dipole antenna, designed to match an nRF51822 Bluetooth Smart device. The use of a differential design avoids the need for a balun and the matching network between the IC and the antenna, therefore, reducing the power loss in these components.
