Yetişkinlerde ince barsak invajinasyonu çok nadir görülmesine rağmen barsak tıkanıklığına yol açabilir. Bu bildiride rektum tümörü için yapılan anterior rezeksiyon sonrası gelişen ince barsak invajinasyonu olgusunu sunmak istedik. Hasta cerrahiye alınarak, invajine olan segment rezeke edildi. Çıkarılan materyal incelendiğinde invajinasyona neden olabilecek herhangi bir tetik lezyon bulunamadı. Sonuç olarak, postoperatif barsak tıkanıklığının ayırıcı tanısında spontan ince barsak invajinasyonu da akılda tutulmalıdır. Anahtar Kelimeler: İnvajinasyon, rektum cerrahisi, ince barsak ÖZ ABSTRACTAdult small bowel intussusception is a very rare entity. However, it may cause mechanical small bowel obstruction. In this report, a case with small bowel intussusception after anterior resection for rectal tumor is presented. The patient was operated and the invaginated segment was resected. Postoperative evaluation of the resected material revealed no lead point lesion for invagination. Small bowel intussusception should be kept in mind in the differential diagnosis of postoperative ileus.

Ileocecocolic intussusception due to cecal endometriotic lesion is extremely rare, with symptoms that are often non‐specific, and delay in receiving support is resented by patients. We report the case of a 39‐year‐old woman who presented with major complications as a result of delayed diagnosis of cecal endometriosis. She experienced a diagnostic error that led to medical abortion for intractable vomiting, for which the pregnancy had been considered the only cause, resulting in secondary infertility. Six years later, she developed acute bowel intussusception after surgical treatment of rectal endometriosis requiring emergency surgery with ileocecal resection. After review of the literature, we draw attention to the major consequences of delay in diagnosis in the present case. Consequently, cecal location must not be missed in the diagnostic workup of gastrointestinal endometriosis.

Highlights Intussusception is a rare cause of postoperative small bowel obstruction in adult and the treatment is still debated. Bowel Intussusception should be kept in mind in a post operative patient who develops obstructive symptoms. The time of diagnosis makes the difference between surgical treatment and others. Abdominal CT have a good accuracy in diagnosis. Surgery is necessary if peritoneal irritation is present. Otherwise, conservative treatment is considered.
