Small Cities/Transitional Cities

Abstract: Small cities are essential components of the global urban landscape, but suffer from a conceptual confusion. However, they constitute original urban objects, which should shed new light on the diversity of urbanization patterns. One way to understand and strengthen them is to consider them as a powerful element of transition to a sustainable urban development.
