The concept of university refers to a forward-thinking, innovative educational institution that implements the latest advancements in technology and pedagogy. The purpose of the research is to explain technologies and innovations used at the future-oriented university and to outline their impact. The research objectives are the following: to describe the concept of university of future; to explain what technologies and innovations are integrated into the educational process; and to describe the peculiarities of their using. Studying involved mixed methodology, particularly surveys and questionnaires; in-depth interviews; observational studies; content analysis; and ethnographic and pedagogical method. Descriptive statistics, multivariate analysis, thematic analysis and narrative analysis were used for data analysis. The study was carried out among faculty members and university administrators in February-April, 2024. The findings showed that the participants of the educational process understand the university of future as an institution focusing on the formation of professional competences among students through the use of innovative techniques. Also, it is referred as an innovation center, research and development institution, digital university or student-centered university. The university of future is characterized by technology-enhanced learning, research and innovation, practical learning, interdisciplinary approach, personalized learning, student-centered pedagogy, and life-long learning opportunities. The university of future applies a number of technological advancements that enhance the efficiency of the educational process. They include artificial intelligence, virtual reality, Learning Management Systems, and cloud computing. The pedagogical innovations are related to blended learning, flipped classroom, personalized learning, project-based learning, game-based activities, and collaborative learning. The implementation of technological advancements and pedagogical innovations requires using organizational and pedagogical measures.

The trend of cloud computing is accelerating along with emerging technologies such as utility computing, grid computing, and distributed computing. Cloud computing is showing remarkable potential to provide flexible, costeffective, and powerful resources across the internet, and is a driving force in today's most prominent computing technologies. The cloud offers the means to remotely access and store data while virtual machines access data over a network resource. Furthermore, cloud computing plays a leading role in the fourth industrial revolution. Everyone uses the cloud daily life when accessing Dropbox, various Google services, and Microsoft Office 365. While there are many advantages in such an environment, security issues such as data privacy, data security, access control, cyber-attacks, and data availability, along with performance and reliability issues, exist. Efficient security and privacy measures should be implemented by cloud service providers to ensure the privacy, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data services. However, cloud service providers have not been providing enough secure and reliable services to end users. Blockchain is a technology that is improving cloud computing. This revolutionary technology offers persuasive data integrity properties and is used to tackle security problems. This research presents a detailed analysis of privacy and security challenges in the cloud. We demonstrate the importance of security challenges in a case study in the context of smart campus security, which will encourage researchers to examine security issues in cloud computing in the future.

Internet of Things (IoT) enables smart campuses more convenient for cloud services. The availability of cloud resources to its users appears as a fundamental challenge. The existing research presents several auto-scaling techniques to scale the resources with the increase in users' demands. However, still, the cloud users of auto-scaled servers experience service disruption, delayed responses, and the occurrence of service bursts. The prevailing burst management framework exhibits limitations in the context of burdening the existing auto-scaled machines for cost estimation and resource allocation. This research presents a 3axis auto-scaling framework for load balancing and resource allocation by incorporating a dedicated cost estimator and allocator (on the z-axis). The cost estimation server develops a log of existing load estimates of vertical and horizontal servers and scales the new users' requests in case the vertical threshold is breached with new requests. The cost estimator, in its data structure, keeps track of the current resources available at both vertical and horizontal servers. The historical information of available resources and the new resources' requests is decided by the cost estimator as per demand and supply scenario. The general characteristics of servers are resources pooling, requests queue development, burst identification, automatic scaling, and load balancing. The cost estimator also prioritizes vertical servers for resource allocations, and switches to the horizontal server when the vertical server reaches its 75% quota of resources. The study simulates 1000 users' requests of smart campus, adopts state-of-the-art ensemble with bagging strategy and handles an effective class imbalance situation.
