Abstract:Smooth muscle tumors (SMTs) typically fall under either benign leiomyoma or malignant leiomyosarcomas based on histologic characteristics. SMTs that cannot be diagnosed as benign or malignant are then labeled as smooth muscle tumors of uncertain malignant potential (STUMP).
