SOA Adoption Phases

Abstract: A Case StudyThe approach to SOA within an individual company follows a typical hype cycle. By reviewing the main findings and challenges of each phase of the hype cycle, the paper identifies the main pitfalls of SOA implementation efforts. The biggest problems are a lack of skills, expertise, and viable business models.
