Sobrepeso/Obesidade E Tempo Gasto Assistindo À Televisão, Em Escolares

Abstract

Objective: To verify the relationship between sobrepeso/obesidade and worn-out time attending television in scholars of Anápolis/GO. Methodology: study epidemic, involving a from 7 to 9 years of public and private schools. The modified questionnaire of lifestyle was and the percentile of corporal fat (%GC). Results: 44,2% of the scholars dedicate larger part of the time attending TV, (35%) of the total sample they were classified with overweight and obesity. The time had been of the school it was a factor influenciador in the scholars' of both schools obesity, with p = 0,014 for the masculine sex and p = 0,010 for feminine. Conclusion: The time destined to television by the scholars it demonstrated a great relationship with the obesity and the overweight. Also identifying a larger obesity prevalência in both schools, however with a very larger index in the scholars of the teaching net deprived and in the masculine sex.
