“…Conversely, lower awareness of the impact acidic drinks have on the aetiology of dental erosion is associated with an increase in the frequency acidic beverages are consumed, and consequently related to the individual's risk of dental erosion [ 24 ]. Identifying the factors that contribute to health behaviours facilitates more targeted approaches to increase the awareness and knowledge of oral conditions and improve health promotion [ 32 ]. Thus, it is relevant to enhance awareness and knowledge of dental erosion in individuals and communities and thereby achieve effective prevention of the disease and offer a better prognosis for the dental hard tissues and any restorative treatment.…”

“…This is consistent with other studies in India and other countries,[ 6 - 8 , 10 ] except a study with immigrants in Britain where areca use prevalence was higher in girls. [ 9 ] In contrast to gender, age did not show an association with type of user, unlike other studies where older age groups exhibited greater areca consumption. [ 7 , 8 ] One finding warranting further exploration is that of a higher proportion of areca using females reporting past use rather than current use.…”

“…Regular consumption of dairy, nuts, and olive oil, as well as eating breakfast regularly, mainly with the parents, increases the quality of diet in adolescents [ 43 ]. The prevalence of nut consumption has become an ongoing health issue among adolescents [ 44 ], and moderate consumption of nuts during infancy could prevent an allergy to nuts [ 45 ]. It was also reported that the consumption of dairy products seems to be beneficial in muscle building, lowering blood pressure and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and also for preventing diabetes, tooth decay, obesity, and cancer [ 46 ].…”
