Social engagement and experiential avoidance: Overcoming the burden of the Covid-19 pandemic

Abstract: Covid-19 related public health measures have justified increased experiential avoidance, providing short-lived decreases in distress during the pandemic. This article discusses how promoting social engagement allows for a smoother transition to the post-pandemic period where such avoidance behaviours are no longer warranted.
