Social justice and special education: Derailing the tracking of Black males. A case study of Walt Whitman High School

This dissertation is dedicated to my grandmother, Ms. Ethel Wilson for the bountiful love she bestowed on me. Thank you for believing in me, and for helping me to accept as truth that my (Dis)-Ability was a gift that gave me the insight and a different lens through which I see the world. Thank you for all of your prayers and for instilling in me the faith in God. Knowing that God loves me, and will always love and take care of me in spite of me.
