The well-known tourist destination in Indonesia is the Borobudur Temple, which is in the Central Java Province's Magelang Regency. In the Borobudur District, Wanurejo Village is a village with a good reputation for tourism attractions and foreign visitors. Tour activists must be able to employ a variety of English language skills, including reading, listening, speaking, and writing. This study compares and analyzes Wanurejo tourism village activists' levels of English literacy depending on several criteria, mainly age. To acquire data for this study, a questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. 87 advocates for the Wanurejo tourist resort made up the sample for this study. The study's findings revealed that the Wanurejo tourism village activists had a moderate level of English literacy, with a score of 64.44. The reading indication of English literacy scores the highest out of the four, while the writing indicator scores the lowest. According to the respondents' characteristics, younger tourism village activists are more literate than older ones. Additionally, according to recent studies, activists from tourism villages with high school degrees are more literate in English than those with only elementary or junior high school degrees. There was no discernible difference in terms of gender, income, or work experience.
