“…Prior research shows students in the first HPPAE cohort achieved statistically significant knowledge gains from their rotation field education experience (Birkenmaier, Rowan, Damron-Rodriguez, Lawrance, & Volland, 2009). The variables that best predicted students' knowledge in the first cohort were educational level and previous coursework in aging (Birkenmaier et al, 2009).
