Abstract

Membership Committee Reconstituted. Drew Appleby recently accepted the position of chair of the new STP Recruitment and Public Relations Committee. The task of this group is to plan, direct, and evaluate society recruitment and public relation efforts. The committee would genuinely appreciate any suggestions that you have (a) to increase our membership and (b) to increase our visibility and attractiveness to fellow teachers of psychology who are not currently members of STP. The Society for the Teaching of Psychology announces its 2004 program of awards for outstanding teachers of psychology. Teaching awards of $750 and a plaque are bestowed for outstanding performance in each of four categories: (1) Four-Year Colleges or Universities (Robert S. Daniel Award); (2) Two-Year Colleges; (3) High Schools (Moffett Memorial Teaching Award); and (4) Graduate Student (McKeachie Early Career Award). The deadline for submission of supporting materials is January 13, 2004. Renominations and self-nominations are acceptable.
