Soft computing and minimization/optimization of video/imagery redundancy

Abstract: This paper investigates the application of soft computing techniques to minimize video/imagery tactical redundancy, to enable video and high-resolution still imagery transmission through low-bandwidth tactical radio channels in the Future Combat System, including spatial, temporal event, and shape extraction for object-oriented processing.
