Software Reliability, Safety and Security

Abstract

In the paper a modelfor reliability and safety of the software is suggested. The densityfunction of the distribution of the failures and the function offailure rate X (t) are derived from the structure of the software modules, the distribution of the input vectors and the verification tests, carried out for the software module. On line criterion for safety is introduced and example is given concerning the safety of the software for data acquisition and control. The definition and the methods for achievement of the necessary level of software security are described.
