Soil Salizanation Information in the Yellow River Delta Based on Feature Surface Models Using Landsat 8 OLI Data

Abstract: Soil salinization as one of the major eco-environmental problems, has greatly restricted the regional development of Yellow River Delta. In this paper, five parameters that derived from Landsat images, including MSAVI, Albedo, SI, I Fe2O3 , and WI have been utilized to establish ten feature spaces, and four categories of salinization detection model have been proposed. After analysis and comparison of inversion accuracy, the three typical surface parameters, including SI (R 2 = 0.85), I Fe2O3 (R 2 = 0.83), and… Show more

“…The daily model of rainfall erosive force (Equation ( 2)) has been adopted in this study, which can better reflect the semi-monthly and monthly variation. In addition, it has been widely used in the calculation of rainfall erosion force and then even used in the first national water conservancy survey (2020-2012) that aimed to investigate the conditions of development, control and protection of rivers and lakes in China (Du et al 2016;Liu et al 2016;Guo et al 2020f).…”

“…In the study, the original Landsat data is Level 1 Terrain Corrected (L1T) product, which is radiometrically corrected and co-registered to a cartographic projection, with corrections for terrain displacement resulting in a standard orthorectified digital image [24], [25], [26]. According to the current data source and the needs of this research study, seven images were selected, all with a cloud cover less than 5%.…”

“…Research has highlighted significant temporal and spatial variations in soil salinization in the Yellow River Delta [4]. In the past two decades, there has been a rapid and extensive increase in soil salinization from coastal to inland regions [5][6][7]. With a development history of just over 100 years, the Yellow River Delta primarily focuses on cultivating grain crops.…”
