Solar city, bike city, growth city: governance and energy in Davis, California

Abstract: The path home takes us past the best any community can offer: beautiful, well-loved, energyefficient solar houses; community vineyards, orchards, and vegetable gardens; waterconserving landscapes; children playing away from traffic; birds singing and nesting; neighbors talking to one another.
