Abstract:Abstract2,4,6‐trichlorophenol (TCP) is regarded as a very harmful persistent organic pollutant. It is prohibited by the US EPA due to its stability, possible toxicity, and substantial carcinogenicity, which could result in long‐term harm to both the environment and living things. A novel solid‐contact electrode (SCE) is fabricated and characterized for potentiometric determination of 2,4,6‐trichlorophenol (2,4,6‐TCP). Molecularly imprinted trichlorophenol polymer (MIP) beads are used as a recognition receptor … Show more
“…Which can be used as active sites to improve the electrocatalytic performance of the electrode. Also, these alterations denoted the development of hydrogen bonds between the extremely electronegative atoms and the aromatic ring of TCP’s electron cloud . Eventually, rationally designed α-Bi 2 O 3 MPs/PDA-RGO/SPCE shows a lower potential (0.58 V) with a maximum oxidation peak (4.29 μA), demonstrating that the synergistic effect between PDA-RGO and α-Bi 2 O 3 MPs leads to an effective detection toward TCP.…”

“…They have a bad biodegradability, are persistent in the environment, have a strong stench, and are poisonous and carcinogenic. 4–6 Discharging them into the hydrosphere is a substantial source of pollution due to their refractory nature. They are found in most industrial effluents, particularly those from the paper and textile sectors, which are hugely popular in both developing and wealthy nations.…”

“…Wineries continue to disinfect their barrels with 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (TCP). 100 TCP is easily absorbed through the human skin due to its mild acidity. The maximum permissible concentration (MAC) of 2,4,6-TCP in drinking water is defined at 5.0 μg L −1 (10.1 nM) under current laws.…”

“…To measure 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (2,4,6-TCP) potentiometrically, 100 a solid-contact electrode (SCE) is made and talked about. To measure the amount of this persistent organic pollutant using potentiometry, trichlorophenol polymer (MIP) beads with molecular imprints are used as a recognition receptor.…”
