“…From the comparison of the present ternary system with the reported ternary systems, ,,, the phase chemical reactions of the five systems CsBr + REBr 3 + H 2 O (RE = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, and Sm) are similar in that they all have compounds 2CsBr·REBr 3 ·10H 2 O (2:1 type). The compounds 3CsBr·2REBr 3 ·16H 2 O (3:2 type) were formed in CsBr + REBr 3 + H 2 O (RE = Er and Tm) systems, so the phase chemical reactions of the two systems are analogous.…”

“…29 The literature data seem to be distinctly overestimated. 23,30 From the comparison of the present ternary system with the reported ternary systems, 13,14,21,22 3 shows the solubility for the quaternary system of CsBr + EuBr 3 + HBr (∼12.3%) + H 2 O and the central projection data on the trigonal basal face for the CsBr + EuBr 3 + H 2 O system at 298.15 K. The ion concentration of equilibrium liquid phase and the wet residue are shown as mass percent. Figure 2 displays the corresponding phase diagram.…”

“…Meanwhile, the thermodynamic properties of some compounds were investigated. The water–salt systems cesium bromide + rare earth bromide + water (rare earth = lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium, holmium, erbium, thulium) and cesium bromide + rare earth bromide + hydrobromic acid (∼12.0 mass %) + water (rare earth = lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium) have been determined in our previous reports and in the Wang et al laboratory. Moreover, some of the quaternary systems have been evaluated . The research results showed that the new solid-phase compound existed in corresponding ternary and quaternary systems.…”
