“…The metal borate systems are generally denoted by B 2 O 3 + M 2 O + H 2 O (M = Na, Li, K), which encompasses binary systems of alkali metal borates with different ratios of B:M, e.g., LiBO 2 + H 2 O, Li 2 B 4 O 7 + H 2 O, and LiB 5 O 8 + H 2 O, where B:Li are 1, 2, and 5, respectively.
