Solid, primary aliphatic amine complexes of transition-metal halides

Abstract: The thermal decomposition characteristics of the ternary mixed, solid, primary aliphatic amine complexes formed with nickel(ll) chloride was investigated by a simultaneous TG-DTG-DTA method. The course of the thermal decomposition is described in detail, results thus obtained are compared with the literature data and contradictions are pointed out.In addition to the complexes described in previous papers some new compounds and thermal intermediates have been prepared by solid-gas phase chemisorption and by free… Show more

“…Methylene chloride was dried over CaH 2 and freshly distilled and degassed prior to use. The free ligand precursors o -CHO-C 6 H 4 NHSO 2 (Ar) (Ar = 2,4,6-Me 3 C 6 H 2 , 4-MeC 6 H 4 , 4-O 2 NC 6 H 4 ) and the nickel halides NiBr 2 (THF) 1.5 , NiBr 2 (DME), NiCl 2 (Py) 4 , trans -[Ni(Cl)(Ph)(PPh 3 ) 2 ], and LiCH 2 SiMe 3 were synthesized according to the published procedures.…”
