Solubility Measurement and Correlation for ε-2,4,6,8,10,12-Hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane in Five Organic Solvents at Temperatures between 283.15 and 333.15 K and Different Chloralkane + Ethyl Acetate Binary Solvents at Temperatures between 283.15 and 323.15 K

Abstract: wurtzitane (ε-HNIW) in five pure solvents (ethyl acetate, N,N-dimethylformamide, acetonitrile, cyclohexanone, N-methylpyrrolidone) at temperatures ranging from 283.15 to 333.15 K at atmospheric pressure were measured by the isothermal method; meanwhile, the solubility behavior of ε-HNIW in four binary solvents (dichloromethane, chloroform, tetrachloromethane, and 1,2-dichloroethane mixed with various mole fractions of ethyl acetate, respectively) was experimentally studied by the equilibrium method at temperat… Show more

“…The solubility of a substance in different solvent or solvent mixtures could be influenced by several factors, such as the Coulombic force, viscosity, dielectric constant, and polarization force. The increase of solubility in the above binary solvent mixtures might be caused by a complex hydrogen-bond effect with the additive water . In the crystallization process, the MSZW (metastable zone width) might change with increasing solubility resulting from adding water, which was the key kinetic parameter, and would affect the nucleation , and growth , step of crystallization.…”

“…Further, there are several factors to affect the solubility of azoxystrobin in the binary mixed solvents, such as viscosity, dielectric constant, and solubility parameter. The detailed mechanism of this phenomenon can be studied deeply in the future work.…”

“…Interestingly, when the mole fraction of methanol declined to a certain value 0.8, the solubility decreases slightly with the increasing temperature. It may be caused by the intermolecular interactions and the steric hindrance between binary solvents and solvent. , …”
