“…Normal choroidal melanocytes were prepared from the eyes of young adult rhesus and cynomolgus macaques {Macaca mulatta and Macaca fascicularis). The isolation and culture methods have been reported elsewhere (Hu, Pasztor & Teramura, 1977). Cells were grown as short-term cultures, subcultured one to three times and used for experiments within a few weeks.…”
