Some aspects of histology of liver and intestine of Cyprinus carpio fingerlings fed raw and processed Mucuna pruriens diets

Abstract: Mucuna contains anti-nutritional factors, anticoagulants, anti-inflammatory factors and L- dopa, a potentially neurotoxic agent. These anti-nutrients are endogenous toxic substances that are part of the normal feedstuff and affect its nutritional quality. The concentrations of these anti-nutritional factors can be reduced or completely eliminated if the seeds are properly processed.
