Some aspects of the directional resistivity physics

Abstract: Directional resistivity is finding increasing use in logging while drilling for proactive geosteering. Numerous efforts have been made in understanding tool responses and developing algorithms for data interpretation. This paper attempts to discuss several aspects of the tool physics.
