Some Components of Gas Phase of Cigarette Smoke

Abstract: The analysis of the gas phase of cigarette smoke by application of an infrared absorption compensation technique has been extended to cigarette smoke from two additional tobacco compositions. Compounds identified and quantitatively determined that were not reported previously include butane, isobutylene, benzene, toluene, furan, and 2-methylfuran.
