Some Electron-Microscopic Aspects of Pemphigus erythematosus compared to those of Pemphigus vulgaris

Abstract: 1. The degree of disappearance of the desmosomes in established pemphigus erythematosus blister resembles that in an early blister in pemphigus vulgaris. One might consider pemphigus erythematosus as a pemphigus vulgaris which has remained in its initial phase. 2. The degree of disappearance of desmosomes in pemphigus erythematosus appears to be less than in pemphigus foliaceus.
