Abstract:In the present work the part of the quasar UV-optical bump within the wavelength range 1210 − 1450 Å was studied with the help of composite spectra compiled from the samples of SDSS DR7 spectra with the similar spectral index α λ within 1270 − 1480 Å. This division allowed to see weak emission lines, which were not detected in previous studies of the quasar composite spectra, but were known from individual optical or composite UV spectra from the Hubble Space Telescope. Although the physical explanation of the… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
