Abstract:In this paper, we discuss the stability of (restricted) Chebyshev centers in few function spaces. For an extremally disconnected compact Hausdorff space K and a finite dimensional Banach space X, we prove the existence of Chebyshev centers of closed bounded subsets of the space of X-valued continuous functions on K, CpK, Xq and that of compact subsets of M -ideals in CpK, Xq. It is also proved that the existence of restricted Chebyshev centers is stable in the space of vector-valued bounded functions on an arb… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
