“…Isolated tamarind xyloglucan binds to chemical wood pulp fibers with high affinity and improves paper formation and strength properties, the latter of which was independently observed by Buckeridge and collegues (Lima et al 2003). Using a novel flow loop system, Yan et al were able to demonstrate that improved paper formation in the presence of xyloglucan (Christiernin et al 2003) was the result of reduced of fiber flocculation (Yan et al 2006).
