Sonophysical cost effective rapid indigenous preparation of aluminium particles via exfoliation of aluminium foil

Abstract: A rapid sonophysically aided process of obtaining aluminium particles from commercial aluminium foil has been attempted for the first time. Through the cavitation enabled exfoliation of the foil, particles were obtained following seiving in size ranges of >125µm, 25-50 µm and < 25 µm. The prepared particles were tested for their bacterial compatibility/ toxicity against Escherichia coli and Streptococcus mutans. Reports on the effect of aluminium on bacterial cells are highly limited and no data exists on the … Show more

“…NaYF 4 : Eu +3 /polyvinyl alcohol nanofibers were collected from aluminium foil (Al) which was used as a substrate for fiber deposition during the fascinating electrospinning technique. [53,54]. The XRD result shows that the peaks of nanophosphors are slightly shifted to right side due to the stress in PVA shell.…”

“…[56][57][58] The crystalline peaks centered at about angles 26.62 42.02 , 65.12 and 78.34 are attributed to Al foil which was wrapped on collector to obtain the composite PLNs. 59…”

“…The other peaks at 28.96° (111), 33.49° (200), 48° (220), 57° (222) and 69.95° (400) correspond to the composite nanophosphors. The XRD result reveals that the peaks of composite nanophosphors are somewhat shifted to the right due to the PVA shell and peaks at 38.31°, 44.52°, 65.03°, 78.17° are attributed to Al foil, which is used as a substrate for fiber deposition in the standard electrospinning technique.…”
