Sorptive polymers based on modified fibers

Abstract

The principal features of chemical and structural transformations of polycaproamide fiber modified by grafted polyglycidylmethacrylate were examined during preparation of sorptive fibrous materials. Characteristics of the chemical composition and capacity factors of a large group of prepared fibers were presented.One of the scientific directions of the Department of Chemical Fiber and Nanomaterial Technology, Kosygin Moscow State Textile University, is the chemical modification of polymers using grafting polymerization and polymerlike transformations in order to produce chemically active fibers that can be employed for creating highly efficient filtering materials for environmental and human protection.
