Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between professional suitability, general self-efficacy and professional satisfaction of social workers in social work practice. A scanning model research has been carried out within the scope of this aim. Within the scope of the research, 809 social workers who are members of the Association of Social Workers were reached. Three different scales were used in the study. These were The Professional Suitability Scale in Social Work Practice, General Self-Efficacy Scale and Job Satisfaction Scale. As a result of the regression analysis, it was determined that 23% of the change in the Scores of the Job Satisfaction Scale can be explained by the Scores of the General Self-Efficacy Scale and The Professional Suitability Scale in Social Work Practice. In addition, when the score obtained from the General Self-Efficacy Scale increased by 1 unit, it was determined that the scores obtained from the Job Satisfaction Scale increased by an average of 0.81 points. Moreover, when the score obtained from the Professional Suitability Scale in Social Work Practice increased by 1 unit, it was determined that the scores obtained from the Job Satisfaction Scale increased by an average of 0.31 points.
