Sound and light levels in intensive care units in a large urban hospital in the United States

Abstract

To hold all components we modified an existing Arduino Uno case design from ZygmuntW (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:628929 licensed under the Creative Commons -Attribution -Share Alike license [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/]), adding space to accommodate the sensor boards and access to the SD shield used for storing sensor data. This offers protection for the components of the sensors while still maintaining immediate access to the power and data without any need for disassembly. Fully assembled, the device dimensions are approximately 3.5"x3"x1.75" which makes it reasonable to install even in areas without much free space. It also weighs less than 130g so it would not be unreasonable to mount using hook and loop or adhesives in rooms where space is extremely limited or where the ideal location is not near any table space.
