Abstract:This paper gives a theoretical analysis to obtain and reduce the acoustic pressure generated from plates with geometric nonlinearities subjected to subsonic airflow and external excitation. von-Kármán assumptions are applied considering the nonlinear terms in strain-displacement relations. Airflow passing through the plate is considered as an incompressible, irrotational, and inviscid flow. Galerkin’s method is employed to acquire the governing equations of time-dependent coefficients. Multiple Time Scale Meth… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
