Soybean Yield Optimization by Utilizating the Solid Waste of Oil Palm Factory

Abstract: Soybean is planted in some types of land agroecology, but production centers are mostly on peat and tides. This research was conducted at the soybean center in Rantau Rasau District with agroecology peat and tideland. The trial was arranged in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with ten treatments and four times repeatitions. It consisted of several doses of organic material decanter cake (DC) and the percentage of the recommended amount of mineral fertilizer (RDF). RDF was selected based on Indonesia Food Crop A… Show more

“…This can be equated with yield per hectare, if a hectare there are 100,000 plants, according to this study it ranges from 1,361-1,543 tons ha -1 . This condition is smaller than other studies using organic fertilizer from solid waste Figure 5 Weight of soybean seeds every plant and 100 seeds from cooking oil factories, which reached 2.03-2.25 tons ha -1 (Duaja et al, 2022). Weeds absorb nutrients, water and light, thereby reducing soybean yields (Irfani & Agus, 2021).…”

“…Many researchers have applied palm oil waste to improve plant growth and yield. Decanter cake derived from waste produced by palm oil mills was employed as an organic material source to enhance soybean yield [31]. Palm oil solid waste also influenced the plant height, flowering speed, and fruit fresh weight of green eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) [30,32].…”

“…It is due to soybean is able to bond nitrogen from the air (Whitehead and Isaac, 2012). The application of single as well as compound fertilizers from nitrogen, phosphor, and potassium will significantly increase the harvest yields (Wijanarko and Taufiq, 2011;Duaja et al, 2022).…”
