Space-Resolved Spectrum Diagnose by Soft X-Ray Transmission Grating Spectrometer

Abstract: A space-resolving transmission grating spectrometer is established on the "Shenguang-III" prototype laser facility and an iterative procedure for unfolding the X-ray spectrum with spatial resolution is described. The diagnostics is applied to measure the X-ray spectrum from laser-entered gold target and the typical space-resolved spectrum is provided. The relative standard uncertainty of the X-ray spectrum from the laser-generated plasma is also determined.

“…The full spectrum with no filter is used during this experiment. TGS gives 1D spacial and 1D spectral images with a spectral resolution of 0.1 nm over the wavelength range of 0.25-25 nm [18]. The relative uncertainty of the x-ray spectrum by TGS is lower than 12% [19].…”

“…1(a). The time-integrated x-ray emission spectrum from the plasma was recorded at 46.6 with respect to the target normal using a transmission grating spectrometer (TGS) 24 with a spectral resolution of 0.1 nm over the wavelength range of 0.25-25 nm. The relative uncertainty of x-ray spectrum by TGS is lower than 12%.…”

“…The relative uncertainty of the M-band x-ray flux measured by M-XRD is lower than 5%. A transmission grating spectrometer (TGS) was installed at θ = 20 • to measure the timeintegral transmitted x-ray spectrum from 0.2-4.8 keV [28]. The relative uncertainty of the x-ray spectrum measured by TGS is lower than 12%.…”
