Abstract: Background: Malaria duringpregnancy is associated with poor maternal, foetal, and neonataloutcomes. To prevent malaria infection during pregnancy, the World Health Organization recommended the use of intermittent preventive therapy with sulfadoxine-pyrimethaminein addition to vector control strategies.
