Spatial distribution characteristics of Ji'nan rock mass, North China Block

Abstract

Ji'nan rock mass is a mesobasic magmatic rock invaded in the Mesozoic Cretaceous, which not only forms rich geothermal, mineral water, iron ore, gypsum ore and other minerals around it, but also plays an important role in controlling Ji'nan springs. Studying its spatial distribution characteristics and upwelling mode is the basis for rational development and utilization of resources and spring water protection. Through comprehensively analyzing the 225 medium-deep drilling holes, 3000 shallow holes around the rock mass, and geophysical data, this work carried out detailed characterization of the boundary information and vertical characteristics of Ji'nan rock mass, multiple geological profiles were drawn to establish a three-dimensional geological model. The spatial morphology of rock mass and magma upwelling channel in Ji'nan are deeply studied. The results show that: (1) The latest estimate of the Ji 'nan pluton is 58.38km long from east to west, 36.26km wide from north to south, with an area of 352.02km 2 and a vertical depth of 2.3km; (2) The magma upwelling channel is located in the area of Xindingzhuang in the west of Ji'nan.
