Background Processing and analyzing data related to the causes of mortality can help to clarify and monitor the health status, determine priorities, needs, deficiencies, and developments in the health sector in research and implementation areas. In some cases, the statistical population consists of invisible sub-communities, each with a pattern of different trends over time. In such cases, Latent Growth Mixture Models (LGMM) can be used. This article clusters the causes of individual deaths between 2015 and 2019 in Northeast Iran based on LGMM. Method This ecological longitudinal study examined all five-year mortality in Northeast Iran from 2015 to 2019. Causes of mortality were extracted from the national death registration system based on the ICD-10 classification. Individuals' causes of death were categorized based on LGMM, and similar patterns were placed in one category. Results Out of the total 146,100 deaths, ischemic heart disease (21,328), malignant neoplasms (17,613), cerebrovascular diseases (11,924), and hypertension (10,671) were the four leading causes of death. According to statistical indicators, the model with three classes was the best-fit model, which also had an appropriate interpretation. In the first class, which was also the largest class, the pattern of changes in mortality due to diseases was constant (n = 98, 87.50%). Second-class diseases had a slightly upward trend (n = 10, 8.92%), and third-class diseases had a completely upward trend (n = 4, 3.57%). Conclusions Identifying the rising trends of diseases leading to death using LGMM can be a suitable tool for the prevention and management of diseases by managers and health policy. Some chronic diseases are increasing up to 2019, which can serve as a warning for health policymakers in society.

This study explores the complex interconnections among global population growth, energy consumption, CO2 production, and disparities in service access through the lens of a single case study. Rapid population growth in many major cities has created significant challenges related to equitable access to services and socio-economic development, thereby impacting both their energy consumption patterns and environmental impacts. The case investigated in this study, like many other cases in developing countries, exhibits differences in service provision, infrastructure development, and energy usage, particularly between the northern and southern regions, which significantly affect the quality of life, environmental sustainability, and economic development. Previous efforts to narrow these geographic disparities have yielded limited success and exhibited several shortcomings. By employing a GIS Analytical Network Process method, this study examines service accessibility patterns in a single-case city, with a particular emphasis on green spaces, food services, and educational facilities and services. This GIS-based approach seeks to achieve sustainable levels of access to multiple land uses by evaluating their accessibility and identifying areas of overlap between them. The study endeavors to increase access and density of service standards when planning the placement of new facilities based on these standards in new locations. The method developed in this study represents a critical stride toward achieving these key objectives. The findings reveal that only 47% of city population blocks enjoy high service accessibility, while 40% have moderate accessibility, and 2.6% experience poor accessibility. These insights are of significant value to urban planners, researchers, and policymakers striving to reduce energy shortages and promote sustainable energy and transportation strategies to mitigate environmental impact in urban areas.

Дослідження охоплює оцінку придатності територій України для розміщення промислових об'єктів та релокації енергетичної інфраструктури у прикордонних областях, в умовах військових дій. За допомогою комплексної ГІС-моделі аналізується територія за низкою факторів, які впливають на вибір місця для розміщення важливої інфраструктури. Основними факторами, які було враховано є особливості рельєфу (ухил, перепади висоти), наземний покрив, доступність транспорту, відстань до населених пунктів, віддаленість від надзвичайних ситуацій, спричинених воєнними діями. Моделювання включає аналіз відстаней та доступність, що дозволяє оцінити близькість кожного об'єкта до визначених інфраструктурних елементів. Результатом є створення загальної карти придатності, де найбільш перспективними визначено території в областях, що знаходяться віддалено від зони бойових дій та мають розвинену інфраструктуру та необхідні умови під розміщення потрібних центрів промисловості чи енергетичних підстанцій. Такий підхід сприяє економічній доцільності, мінімізації логістичних витрат, а також гарантує стабільне електропостачання. Одним із факторів, який враховувався під час моделювання пріоритетних місць, було використання кадастрових ділянок. Це важливий елементом, що забезпечує розташування на конкретних придатних земельних ділянках, визначених за їх цільовим призначенням, а не абстрактно. Це дозволяє уникнути розробки проектів поза контекстом цільового призначення та врахувати реальні можливості територій для ефективного планування промислової інфраструктури. Запропонована модель дозволяє побачити неочевидні закономірності та ідентифікувати такі ділянки, які б не розглядалися як пріоритетні при використанні класичних методів оцінювання. На основі моделі визначено 50 пріоритетних ділянок для промислових об'єктів та 60 для електропідстанцій, що відповідають вимогам безпеки та економічної доцільності.
