Abstract:Potential differences among developed and emerging countries
regarding the battery electric vehicles (BEVs) adoption are highlighted in the
literature. However, most studies focus on factors influencing BEV penetration in
mature markets. In this paper, we explore the spatial adoption of electric vehicles
and its determinants using data from Hungary, an emerging country. We show
