Abstract:The formation of spatial patterns is an important issue of reaction-diffusion systems. Previous studies mainly focus on spatial patterns coming from reaction-diffusion models equipped with symmetric diffusions (such as normal or fractional Laplace diffusion), namely assuming that spatial environments of the systems are homogeneous. However, the complexity and heterogeneity of spatial environments of biochemical reactions in vivo can lead to reactants’ asymmetric diffusion. Naturally, arises an open question of… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
