Spatial-Temporal Changes and Influencing Factors of Ecological Protection Levels in the Middle and Lower Reaches of the Yellow River

Abstract: In recent years, ecological problems in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River have been frequent. Therefore, exploring its core influences can advance the implementation of “Ecological Protection and High-quality Development of the Yellow River Basin”. This paper constructs an indicator system based on PSR guidelines, evaluates the ecological protection level of 55 cities in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River from 2009 to 2019, and uses correlation analysis with geographically and temp… Show more

“…First, from the perspective of structure, the logic of this paper is relatively clear, but there is still some room for adjustment in the division of chapters, and there are also some deficiencies in the theoretical analysis part of the article. In the future, we will refer to the articles of Feng Ye [26], Zhang Xiaoheng [27], Zhang Qing [28], Zhu Min [29], and other scholars to further adjust and supplement the structure and chapters of the article. Second, from the perspective of entry, it would increase the practical significance of the article if we started from the consumer's point of view and added research on the economic and management aspects of festivals.…”

“…To overcome this deficiency, a local spatial autocorrelation analysis must be performed. The main methods are the local indicators of spatial association (LISAs) [29] and Moran scatter plots [30].…”

“…On the methodology for constructing the indicator system, there are four main types: directly based on research needs and data availability, on the basis of PSR model [29] [30], the DPSIR model [31] [32], and based on the SFPHD framework [33]. The study area is mainly concentrated in the upper Minjiang River basin [34] [35], the Yellow River's middle and lower reaches [36]- [38], the Yangtze River basin [39] [42], and Beijing Municipality in China [43].…”
