Due to limited availability, Indonesia’s coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination will be done in 4 stages until herd immunity has been reached. Yogyakarta, an education and tourist destination, needs to get a specific, spatial estimation of the exact need for COVID-19 vaccination without delay. This study sheds light on identifying which districts should be prioritized at each vaccination phase. Secondary data collected from provincial, and county-level statistical agencies were quantitatively calculated by the Z-Score method. The results indicate that the first phase of vaccination should prioritize Pengasih and Sentolo districts in Kulon Progo Regency, which have a large number of health workers; the districts of Depok, Banguntapan, Piyungan, Sewon, Wonosari, Gamping, Mlati and Ngaglik should be done in the second phase based on the fact that these districts have many public service officials as well as elderly people; Umbulharjo and Depok districts will be approached in the third phase since they have more vulnerable groups and facilities that may promote COVID- 19 transmission during their daily activities; while the fourth phase should focus on the districts of Banguntapan, Sewon, Kasihan, Gamping, Mlati, Depok, and Ngaglik due to the intensity of COVID-19 clusters discovered there. Overall, vaccination would be given the priority in the districts with the largest number of people in need, i.e., public service officers, elderly people and those likely to be exposed to the coronavirus causing COVID-19.

Urban growth is known to be the main factor of urban heat islands (SUHI), an important indicator of global warming. However, another anomaly was where the temperature decreased without reducing the urban settlement during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to compare the SUHI in the Sleman Regency in contrast to urban growth and the Covid-19 pandemic time-lapse result through the pattern using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS). Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, was the area of interest for the case study in 2018, 2020, and 2022. In this research, the author observed the pattern of SUHI following urbanization in a region that grows as a study and tourism destination in Indonesia. Landsat TIRS level 2 product has an ST (surface temperature) band that had been corrected using TOA reflectance, TOA brightness temperature, ASTER global emissivity dataset and ASTER NDVI data, and atmospheric profiles of geopotential height, specific humidity, and air temperature extracted from reanalysis data. The land surface temperature (LST) data were converted in Celcius to be extracted into the spatiotemporal model of SUHI for the Sleman Regency. Moran's index spatial autocorrelation showed the temporal variation of the SUHI and built-up areas in the Sleman area during the chosen time. While the built-up area presented 0,21% growth from 2018 to 2022 based on NDBI, the SUHI in the Sleman Regency was depleted by approximately 50% in 2020. However, the SUHI nearly doubled by approximately 49,17% by 2022, after the pandemic. This result depicts another factor of land surface temperature other than urbanization. Human activity related to transportation during the pandemic lockdown indicated the influence of gas emissions on the land surface temperature.

Population growth and the activities it carries out make the need for land increase, especially in the city center. Land in the city center which is increasingly limited and expensive is no longer able to be accessed by the community to support its activities so that these activities develop into suburban areas. Boja District is one of the suburban areas affected by the development of the City of Semarang, which is indicated by the growth of residential areas since 2010-2020. The purpose of this research is to find out what factors influence the development of suburban housing, Boja District, Kendal Regency. The analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive. Respondents are people who live in housing in the District of Boja. There are 9 variables used for factor analysis and 100 respondents to be surveyed. The research variables consist of livelihood, level of expenditure, length of stay, area of origin, number of family members, house prices, ease of buying a house, installment costs, and credit terms . This research is studied based on the pattern of housing development in suburban areas and the characteristics of housing residents. The results of this study are that there are 3 factors that influence housing development in Boja District, Kendal Regency, namely socio-economic factors consisting of level of expenditure, regional origin, length of stay and house prices, community consumption factors consisting of number of family members, installment costs and livelihoods, as well as risk factors consisting of the installment period and the ease of buying a house.
