“…To obtain the highest extraction efficiency for capsaicinoids, the influence of the different variables affecting both the adsorption and desorption steps in the DMSPE procedure was evaluated using the supernatant obtained in the treatment of 500 μL of serum (spiked with the analytes at 0.1 mg L −1 ) with 1 mL AcN and diluted to 10 mL with water. Since the nature of the sorbent magnetic material is determinant in preconcentration efficiency, several magnetic materials were synthesized following previously published procedures: oleic acid [22], silver [23], (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTS) [24], cellulose [25], GO [26], polypyrrole (PPy) [26], MWCNTs@PPy [26], and MWCNTs [21], all of them magnetized with Fe 3 O 4 .
