“…The transmission of NTMs occurs through exposure to contaminated aerosols, dust particles, or water, but the transmission from person to person has not been documented despite some genetic analysis on certain strains of M. abscessus in patients with cystic fibrosis revealing the possibility of this type of transmission via fomites and aerosols [1,7].
