Specific Conductance of Molten Potassium Nitrate

Abstract: A careful determination of specific conductance of molten potassium nitrate over the temperature range 345°–541°C has demonstrated its suitability as a molten salt standard in electrical conductance work. The data are well represented false(σ=0.0008false) by the computer‐fitted, least squares equation k=−0.7098+4.6203×10−3 tfalse(°Cfalse)−2.0221×10−6 t2 The estimated accuracy is better than ±0.5%.
