Spectral Characterization, Dna Binding Properties and Antibacterial Activity of New Metallo-Hydrazones

Abstract: Metallo-hydrazones having the formula [M(DABH)2] (Where, M = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II); DABH = 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde benzoylhydrazone) are prepared and characterized based on physicochemical and spectral analyses. Molar conductivity data revealed that the complexes are non-electrolytes. Metal-DNA interactions are investigated using absorption spectrophotometry.
